Runa Farm - Barnard Castle

The location was amazing and incredible and the staff members were excellent. Also, Egglestone Abbey was 5 km away from the hotel. I've had spotless and relaxing room with a private hot tub, Prosecco plus the bedroom.

We loved the cosy double room which was immaculate with the hot tub. There were an electric kettle, central heating, and an iron provided.

The rustic charm of the place adds character, with unique raw materials and stylish unfinished surfaces creating an authentic atmosphere. The proximity to a wedding venue offers a lively ambience, perfect for celebrating special occasions.

The room sizes, particularly the 'superior' options, might leave some feeling cramped, especially with raw breeze blocks exposed-definitely not everyone's idea of comfort. The late-night wedding music can disrupt sleep, and being above the kitchen means morning noise from fans can wake you rather early. And limited coffee options in the single-use coffee machine feels a bit stingy for the cost of the stay.

Couple getaway with some hiccups

The location was perfect with fine views, and the hot tub on our patio was an absolute treat. The staff were friendly and were nice, even playing our favorite tunes softly in the background while we relaxed.

It was a bit on the pricey side, but you know, that comes with the territory of thinking you're treating yourself.

Had a lovely stay in a cozy room with a path right outside and a comfortable bed. Enjoyed some quality relaxation in the beautiful garden and the soothing jacuzzi. Just wish there were more cups in the room for two of us, but overall, it was a nice trip! 😊

I adored the rustic decor and warmth of the junior suite, which was like a cozy countryside retreat. The fine views from the hot tub were a show-stopper, and I was spoiled with fluffy bathrobes and lovely toiletries. Breakfast was a good mix of continental treats and perfectly cooked options, fueling our adventures for the day!

The room wasnice and neat, making it a nice place to relax after exploring the area. Just check if they have extra pillows available if you prefer softer ones.

The staff was really friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant was excellent, and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast with plenty of choices. The decoration and design were very appealing, just some areas felt a bit unfinished for my taste. Our room was cozy and comfy.

Amazing staff, delicious food, and a very comfortable room. Everything was taken care of, from the warm welcome at check-in to the convenience of having free parking , just 31 km from the nearest airport.

The staff were super friendly and really professional. Breakfast was something else-perfectly cooked! Our room was spacious and clean, but couldn't open the window for fresh air. A few plants would brighten up the view since we had no sight outside. Loved the bar lounge area too!

Couples seeking comfort and good views

The view from our room was fine, waking up to the fields just outside was something to talk about. Plus, the breakfast was just perfect, Aimee went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed.

It wasn't exactly a bargain but for the experience, I'd say it was acceptable.

Runa Farm is beautifully decorated with a rustic charm. The peaceful gardens, adorned with flowers, were a delight to stroll through, and the accessible pathways.

Improved room accessibility for seniors would be appreciated.
